These are MY people...

They may not have great water pressure, but back where I come from, the people know how to have a good time! The annual Barn Dance, in Halifax County, Virginia. This is a time when young and old mix and mingle and have a grand old time.

I love the pictures!
We dance too you know: barn parties, ceilidhs, Scottish country dancing, you name it. Get the fiddler playing and my feet start tapping...

Ah yes, I remember learning about the ceilidh back in the day... the days of middle school geography, that is... I remember how much I wanted to travel to Ireland and Scotland and experience one for myself. Good to know it's still around and my own barn dance is a close second ;)
