In the Life of Sofi

She loves to find cozy places to snuggle up with her books. Always has been a good snuggler...

She's learning to use the sewing machine, too. Here's her first project, a skirt for her doll, Sarah:

We used fabric glue to attach pieces of lace to the skirt fabric before we gathered the drawstring:

Wow, thats pretty good for a 6 year old. I did'nt even know clothes came from a sewing machine at that age, i don't think.Tell her to keep at it, it will save her a lot of money. Affordable clothes these days are such that you have to buy a new wardrobe every spring and fall, it seems.

Girls and boys must be quite different. I have a six year old son... and the fact that she is sewing blows my mind! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. And no way am I going to try castor oil. I have never heard of the Evening Primrose Oil capsules, and am interested to find out more about them.

I think this is the prettiest sewing project I have ever seen a five-year-old sew. Please tell Miss Sofi SOMEONE thinks she is exceptional.
